How long did it take you to get over your first real heartbreak?

Going through my first serious breakup after a 4-year relationship. Everyone says "it takes time" but HOW MUCH TIME? I'm 3 months out and still cry in the shower every morning. I just want to know there's a light at the end of the tunnel. How long did it take you to genuinely feel okay again? Not just functional, but actually happy?
